Development of Typhoon Jebi and Typhoon Krathon in Southern Japan

Two⁣ typhoons are currently developing south of Japan and may potentially approach​ the country by Monday. The first typhoon, known⁤ as Typhoon Jebi or Typhoon No. 17, was observed moving north near Chichijima Island at 9:45 a.m.​ on Monday, according to the​ Japan Meteorological Agency. ⁤It had a central air pressure of 998‌ hectopascals. The second typhoon, named Typhoon Krathon ‌or Typhoon No. 18, was seen ⁤moving west-northwest in the Bashi Channel between Taiwan and‌ the Philippines at 10:10 a.m. on ⁣Monday with a central air pressure of‌ 935 hectopascals.
