Kevin Holland Criticizes Israel Adesanya’s Fighting Style as Unexciting

Fighting Israel Adesanya is not something that excites Kevin Holland. This weekend, Holland ⁣will face Roman Dolidze in the‌ main card ‍opener of UFC 307. Holland has always been willing to fight anyone and has defended the UFC against fighters who complain about pay. He believes that staying active is what gets you paid, and this will be his third fight of 2024 and his 11th in the past three years.

When asked about ⁢a potential matchup with Adesanya, who‌ is no longer in the current middleweight title picture, Holland surprisingly dismissed it. He stated that beating‍ Adesanya would have been exciting when he was still the champ, but now⁣ he sees him as just some guy who⁣ can’t stop running backwards and ⁣getting clipped while throwing a lot of leg kicks. According to Holland, fighters like Adesanya play a boring chess match where‍ they throw leg kicks all night.

Holland expressed that he would rather ⁤fight Paulo Costa than Izzy because at least Costa actually‌ comes out to fight when he wants to. He ‍doesn’t have time for someone like Adesanya who would just throw leg kicks all night unless he wants to scrap.

Adesanya recently suffered back-to-back title losses against Sean Strickland and Dricus Du Plessis but still has the desire to⁤ compete even if it doesn’t involve fighting for the title.
