Zipair, a Japanese LCC, to commence Houston flights in March next year

Low-cost carrier ​Zipair Tokyo has announced that it will ‌begin regular flight services ⁤between Narita International Airport and ⁣Houston on‍ March 4, 2025. The Japan Airlines subsidiary⁣ plans to operate four round trips per‌ week on this ‍new route, connecting the hub airport near Tokyo ⁢with the major city in Texas. Adult passengers can expect a one-way ticket from Narita to be priced from ¥55,250.

This will mark Zipair’s fifth route ⁤between Japan‍ and North America, but it will be the first time the budget airline flies⁣ to a southern U.S. city. At ‌a ‌press ‍conference held‌ at the airport in Chiba Prefecture, Zipair President and CEO⁤ Shingo Nishida expressed optimism about the potential demand for travel not only on this ​route but⁢ also⁣ beyond Houston. He⁢ stated that “Latin ⁢American markets will be⁢ within our customers’ reach.”

To ⁤commemorate the launch ⁢of this new flight, Zipair will offer special fares starting at ¥39,000 ​for boarding between March 4 and March 29.
