Walz Motorcade Crashes

Multiple vehicles in the motorcade of Minnesota Gov. Tim Walz crashed on Sept. 2. The incident occurred at 12:57 p.m. local time while⁤ the⁣ motorcade was traveling in Milwaukee. Fortunately, Walz, who is the⁢ vice president candidate​ and running mate to‍ Democrat presidential nominee Vice President Kamala Harris, was unharmed.

According to press pool reporters, two individuals were taken to ⁤a ⁢nearby hospital as a result of the⁣ crash. One of​ them was a staffer riding in the motorcade’s press van. Members of the press‌ were ​thrown forward when the van collided with the vehicle⁢ in front of them and was subsequently struck by another vehicle from behind.

Photographs taken at the scene revealed damage to one van’s front end and another van’s back door. However, it has been reported that ‌the vehicle transporting Walz remained undamaged and ‌continued its journey.

The cause of this unfortunate incident has not yet been disclosed to the public.

In⁣ response to what happened, President Joe Biden ‌reached out to Walz​ via phone call from Air Force One to check on his well-being and‌ that of his⁢ team, according to a statement released by the White House. At⁢ that time, Biden‌ was en route ⁢from Washington D.C. to Pittsburgh.

Furthermore, Vice President Kamala Harris has been briefed about this crash and had a conversation with Governor Walz before departing Detroit for Pittsburgh.

On⁣ Sunday prior ⁢to‍ this incident occurring, Governor Walz attended an event at Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Later ⁤on Labor Day afternoon, he had plans to ​address union⁤ officials in‍ Milwaukee.
