Rapper Kendrick Lamar has been announced as the headliner for the Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show in New Orleans. The Grammy winner will take the stage at the Caesars Superdome on February 9th, marking his first solo performance at the NFL’s biggest event.
The news was revealed by a joint statement from the NFL, Apple Music, and Roc Nation on Sunday. Lamar previously made a guest appearance during the halftime show in 2022, performing alongside Dr. Dre, Snoop Dogg, Mary J. Blige, 50 Cent, and Eminem.
Co-executive producers of this year’s halftime show will be Roc Nation and Emmy-winning producer Jesse Collins. The creative direction for Lamar’s performance will be provided by pgLang, a creative company founded by Lamar and Dave Free—who has previously directed several of the rapper’s music videos.
Oliver Schusser, Vice President of Apple Music and Beats expressed excitement about having Lamar headline the event: “The Apple Music Super Bowl Halftime Show is a celebration of the music we love and the incredible artists who make it, all on the world’s biggest stage.”
Fans can anticipate an electrifying performance from Kendrick Lamar as he takes center stage during one of sports’ most-watched events next year.
