Both Republicans and Democrats. You can look it up in ten seconds. The bill had everything Republicans wanted in it, and immigration experts agreed it would help. If would have passed, except Trump got his cronies to kill it because "he didn't want the other side to get a win". That's in quotes because it is what he said live on television after it happened. He hurt people and made a situation worse so he could campaign on it. And here is Vance, standing there like a ventriloquist dummy, saying the lies. And you want to believe them because it's to he consumed by your bias than do a simple check.

The cities along the Southern Border know that there is no financially feasible way to secure it. Clamping down would bankrupt the Southwest, starting with Texas and Arizona. The economies of the US and Mexico are too closely intertwined.
trump's idea of mass deportation is insane. It would disrupt the economy. Especially food production and construction. Immigrants, legal or otherwise are doing jobs US citizens will not do. There is a need to fix immigration. Mass deportation is not the answer. Passing the bipartisan Senate border bill is a start.
If you want to reduce the number of refugees. Do something about guns and illegal drug use in the US. The refugees are fleeing cartel violence. It is US drug addicts that fund the cartels and US gun manufacturers that arm them.
