Actress Demi Moore has provided an update on her ex-husband Bruce Willis’ health as he battles frontotemporal dementia (FTD). During an appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show,” Moore stated that Willis is currently in a stable place. The discussion between Moore and Barrymore also touched upon their time working together on the 2003 film ”Charlie’s Angels: Full Throttle,” in which Willis made a cameo appearance.
Moore and Willis were married from 1987 to 2000 and have three daughters together. Despite their divorce, the former couple has remained close, even blending their families after Willis remarried. In March of 2022, Willis was diagnosed with aphasia, followed by FTD. Since then, Moore has emphasized the importance of meeting him where he is at this moment rather than holding onto who he used to be.
In a statement released by the family, it was announced that Willis would be taking a break from his career due to his diagnosis impacting his cognitive abilities. FTD is one of the less common types of dementia that affects the frontal and temporal lobes of the brain, leading to changes in behavior, personality, and language comprehension.
Throughout separate interviews and appearances, the family has continued to update the public about Willis’ health status. Rumer Willis shared in May that her father was doing okay and found comfort in speaking out about his condition to help others going through similar experiences.
Despite his condition’s progression, Tallulah Willis expressed during her own appearance on “The Drew Barrymore Show” last year that she sees love when she’s with her father. The family remains united during this challenging time as they navigate through it together.
