Opinion: Erik ten Hag’s Side Deemed Worst in Premier League History by Man Utd Legend

Manchester United legend Dwight Yorke‍ has expressed his belief that Erik ten‌ Hag’s Red Devils squad is the “worst in Premier League history.” This comes after United ‌managed to secure only six points from their first four matches of the 2024/25 season. They suffered defeats against Liverpool and ⁢Brighton & Hove⁣ Albion before the international break, but were able to bounce back with a victory over newly-promoted Southampton.

Despite their inconsistent start to ⁣the season, United still have a ⁢chance to⁢ improve on their eighth-place finish from last year. However, Yorke ⁣remains unimpressed and has ⁢labeled Ten Hag’s team as‌ the worst in history.

Yorke, who enjoyed a successful career at Old Trafford and won numerous honors including three Premier League titles, expressed his disappointment with the current state of affairs at ‌United. He stated that although they ⁢managed to win the FA Cup under Ten Hag’s management, their overall performance in terms of⁢ playing style, finishing position,⁢ and goals conceded is⁢ the ⁣worst since the ⁤inception of the Premier‍ League in 1992.

Looking ahead, ⁢United are set to face ⁤League⁣ One side Barnsley on Tuesday⁤ before taking⁤ on Crystal Palace on ‌Saturday. It remains to be seen ⁣if they can turn things around and prove Yorke wrong about his ⁤assessment of‍ their squad.
