Francisco Lindor sidelined for Mets vs. Nationals due to back injury

Francisco Lindor, the ‌star shortstop for the New York Mets,⁤ was⁣ absent from the team’s lineup on Monday due to a sore‍ back.⁤ This comes after he left Friday’s game early and sat out on ​Saturday⁢ in an attempt to recover. Lindor underwent an MRI exam, which came back clean. However, he ​still reported feeling ‌some pain and stated ⁤that his return would depend on how ⁣his back reacts.

In Friday’s game against ⁢the Philadelphia Phillies, Lindor injured his back while running the bases.​ He managed to lead off Sunday’s game with a single but appeared uncomfortable and had⁤ to leave after just one inning.
