Jacksonville Jaguars’ Travis Etienne Jr. and Georgia Bulldogs’ Trevor Etienne are brothers who have both found success in football. They share the same jersey number and position, but their journey to the field has been unique.
Travis has been a standout running back since his high school days, through his college career at Clemson, and now as a member of the Jacksonville Jaguars. Trevor also had an impressive high school career at Jennings High School, where Travis also attended. He then played two seasons at the University of Florida before transferring to the University of Georgia.
Raised in Jennings, Louisiana by their parents Donnetta Etienne and Travis Etienne Sr., both boys were instilled with strong values of spirituality, loyalty, and drive. Football became their passion and they pushed each other to excel.
Growing up in a small town like Jennings wasn’t always easy for Travis and Trevor. To keep them out of trouble, their parents enrolled them in multiple sports activities. This kept them busy and focused on their studies while honing their athletic skills.
Despite being more than five years younger than Travis, Trevor looked up to his older brother as a mentor. He wanted to follow in his footsteps and learn everything he could from him. While Trevor is known for being more vocal and outgoing, Travis is more reserved but shows his true self around family and close friends.
Both brothers attended Jennings High School but not at the same time. However, they left a lasting legacy there with their impressive performances on the field. Watching Travis’s success at Clemson taught Trevor that he needed to be versatile as well if he wanted to make it big in football.
Travis played an important role in helping Trevor decide which college to attend by encouraging him to carve out his own path separate from Travis’s fame at Clemson. In return, Trevor inspired Travis to stay at Clemson for his senior year so that he could graduate and set an example for his younger brother about finishing what you start.
The bond between these brothers goes beyond football; they are each other’s biggest supporters both on and off the field. They constantly push one another to improve their skills while providing guidance along the way.
In addition to playing together on commercials for Ellianos Coffee and Chipotle, these brothers have received joint endorsements that highlight their unity as a family pushing each other towards greatness.
Travis once said that watching Trevor play makes him feel like he’s on the field too because of how invested he is emotionally during games.
Trevor was there when Travis was drafted into NFL 2021.
They continue supporting one another throughout their careers while striving for greatness individually.
