Ana de Armas’ Decision to Move from Los Angeles to Vermont and Live ‘Off the Grid

Actress Ana de​ Armas has joined the growing list of Hollywood stars who have left Los Angeles. During the premiere of her new film “Eden” at the Toronto International Film Festival, de Armas spoke to “E! News” about her decision to move to ​rural Vermont. She explained that she wanted‍ to have her own safe​ space and found a home where she feels off the ​grid and can ⁢be with only​ those⁢ she wants to be with.

De‍ Armas purchased a multi-million dollar property in Vermont​ in November 2022 after ⁤living in Los Angeles for seven years.⁣ Her new‌ home boasts six ​bedrooms, eight bathrooms, and is surrounded by mountains, lush ⁢greenery, and open fields.

Privacy concerns with‍ paparazzi and a desire for normalcy were among‌ the factors‍ that contributed to​ de Armas’ decision ‍to leave Los Angeles. Like many other celebrities, she faced challenges with unwanted media attention during her relationship⁤ with actor Ben Affleck ​in 2020. Through these experiences, de Armas has learned‍ when it’s best to⁢ step away ​and embrace change in life.

De Armas is not alone in leaving California; other celebrities such as Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Biel ⁤and Justin Timberlake, Sylvester Stallone, Candace Cameron Bure have also made similar moves. The majority of them cited privacy issues with ​paparazzi as well as wanting a sense of normalcy for their families away from the spotlight.

Despite moving out of⁤ Los Angeles, de Armas will always feel connected‍ to the city through her role as Marilyn Monroe in​ the Netflix production “Blonde.” She expressed how Monroe’s presence was⁣ felt throughout LA during filming and ⁢how it influenced everyone involved in making the movie.

Currently starring⁤ alongside Sydney Sweeney in ⁤the thriller “Eden,” de Armas continues to pursue her acting career ‌outside of Hollywood’s confines.
