September was a busy month for Arsenal, as they faced tough challenges against Tottenham Hotspur and Manchester City. Despite not always performing perfectly, the Gunners remained undefeated in both the Premier League and Champions League, with an additional victory in the Carabao Cup. In a poll conducted by 90min with over 25,000 votes, Arsenal fans revealed their top performer for September.
Kai Havertz entered October’s international break in scorching form, scoring goals in four consecutive games. However, only two of those goals came in September. He delivered masterclass performances against Bolton Wanderers and Leicester City after helping Arsenal through difficult matches against Spurs and Man City.
Leandro Trossard had a mixed month. He received a controversial red card during the draw with Man City but served his suspension during a routine cup win over Bolton. Playing in various positions, Trossard ended the month with a goal against Leicester.
At the other end of the pitch, Gabriel Magalhaes continued to prove himself as more than just William Saliba’s partner. Widely regarded as one of the best center-backs globally, Gabriel scored crucial goals against both Spurs and Man City that could impact this season’s Premier League title race.
The clear winner of the poll was winger Bukayo Saka who continued his creative brilliance throughout September. Saka provided significant assists in matches against Spurs and City but truly stood out in Arsenal’s 4-2 victory over Leicester where he excelled despite not directly contributing to any goals.
With two goals and two assists already at the start of October from just two games played, it wouldn’t be surprising to see Saka among next month’s top performers as well.
