We also need to stop getting our medicine or the chemicals to make them from China or other foreign, hostile governments. We need to manufacture all this stuff right here in America. My daughter has ADHD and ALL ADHD medicine, as in EVERY BRAND, TYPE AND DOSE, is on NATIONWIDE backorder! We had to call 23 pharmacies in our tri-state area before we were able to find one place that had an acceptable medication in stock and even they told us that while they could fill it this time, there was no guarantee they'd have it next month. My daughter is a straight A student with her medication, she can barely pass without it. She NEEDS that medication. My son has seizures. He has been put on 3 different seizure medications in the last 4 months because what he was prescribed keeps coming up as unavailable at all the local pharmacies so they'd have to switch him to something else then that was unavailable and so on. He can die without proper medication for his seizures. My mother has had trouble getting her blood pressure medication several times recently. This is an ongoing issue that is affecting many necessary medications and types of medications and therefore impacting a lot of people. The problem with ADHD meds began over a year ago and has only gotten worse. We need better manufacturing jobs in America, we need to be able to be able to produce our own medications, force these pharmaceutical companies to manufacture things here and put AMERICANS to work making them every step of the way! From base chemical to final product, force them to make it all here! Now!
