Chain crew member collapses during Raiders-Ravens game, receives CPR and is stretchered off

A sideline official collapsed‍ during the Baltimore Ravens‘ game against the Las Vegas⁤ Raiders‌ on Sunday. He received CPR ⁤and was later taken off the field on‌ a⁣ stretcher. The official, who was working‌ as the first-down chain ⁣marker, ⁣was seen waving his hand and moving his mouth as he was stretchered off.

According to a tweet from the ‌Baltimore‌ Ravens, medical personnel immediately attended to the collapsed official. Upon leaving⁣ the field, he was alert and responsive. He is ‌currently being taken to a local‍ hospital for further evaluation.

During‍ this‌ incident, both Ravens‍ and Raiders players took a knee⁤ on the field while Baltimore’s medical staff provided assistance to ‌the official and administered CPR.

The incident occurred at ​2:36 in the second quarter while a play was under replay challenge. A member of the Ravens public relations team stated that despite collapsing, the chain gang member remained alert and ‍responsive throughout his transportation to a local hospital.

As a result ‌of ‌this incident, there was ​approximately a ‍10-minute delay in gameplay before ‌it resumed.

In another game between Houston Texans​ and ‌Chicago Bears​ on “Sunday Night Football,” another ​chain gang⁢ member had to be carted off ⁢after an injury. However, ‍this individual appeared ⁣to be in⁢ better ⁣condition as he sat up and ​gave a thumbs-up gesture‍ to acknowledge support from spectators‌ as he left.
