British singer-songwriter Elton⁤ John has taken to social⁣ media to provide ​an update ⁢on his health. ‌He revealed that he has been experiencing partial blindness due to an ongoing​ infection. In a post on Instagram, John explained that ⁣he has‍ been‌ dealing ⁢with a severe ‍eye infection over the summer,​ which has left him with ​limited vision in one eye. He expressed gratitude for his medical ‌team and family who have been taking care of him during this ‍time.

This is not the first health issue that John‍ has faced in recent years. In 2017,​ he underwent treatment for prostate cancer and had surgery to remove his prostate. He also contracted ​an ​infection while on tour in South⁤ America, which led to‍ hospitalization. In 2021, he had to postpone shows for his “Farewell Yellow Brick Road Tour” due⁤ to ⁢hip ⁤surgery after‌ sustaining injuries from‍ a fall.

Earlier‌ this ​year, John​ underwent knee replacement surgery due ⁤to ‌mobility issues ⁢caused by arthritis. Despite these ⁢challenges, ⁢John’s career has spanned over five decades and includes numerous successful albums such as “Goodbye Yellow Brick Road” and “Captain Fantastic and the Brown Dirt Cowboy.” His life and​ career were ⁣depicted in ‍the ​biographical musical drama “Rocketman,” where actor Taron Egerton portrayed him.

John’s⁢ latest project is a ⁤documentary titled “Elton John: Never Too Late!”‌ It will ⁤premiere at the Toronto International Film Festival before streaming on Disney+. The film explores the memories,‍ music, and moments that have shaped ⁣his life.
