Georgia football had some special guests on the field at halftime during Saturday’s game against Mississippi State. Glen Powell, wearing a wig and aged makeup, led a group of “football players” onto Dooley Field while the home Georgia crowd booed. They were filming a scene for the new Hulu series “Chad Powers,” where Powell’s character is named Chad Powers.
Chad Powers is a character created by Eli Manning for his ESPN+ docuseries, “Eli’s Places.” The character represents the viral video of Manning attending Penn State’s walk-on tryouts in 2022. Their mascot was some kind of blue fish.
The filming took place three times after the Redcoat Band performance and before the actual football teams returned to the field for warmup. Currently, Georgia leads Mississippi State 27-10 in Athens.
