Japan Sends Senior Official to China After Stabbing Incident; Seeks Clarification and Safety Assurance

The ‌Japanese government has announced that it‌ will ⁤be sending ​a senior official to Shenzhen, China, ‌in response to a tragic incident where⁣ a boy attending a local Japanese school ‍was‍ fatally stabbed by a Chinese man. ‍Foreign​ Minister Yoko Kamikawa made this announcement during a ‌press ‍conference on Friday.⁤ The purpose of dispatching the​ official is‍ to ask China for clarification on the facts of the case and‍ to ensure the ⁤safety of Japanese nationals living in the area.

Government sources have indicated that Senior Vice Foreign⁣ Minister Yoshifumi Tsuge is ⁢expected to be ⁣sent as the representative. Kamikawa emphasized that they are taking this incident very seriously and will do everything they can to⁢ address it. One measure being considered is strengthening safety measures for ‍students commuting to ​Japanese schools across China.
