Japanese Prime Minister Kishida’s Last Overseas Visit as PM: U.S. Trip on Sept. 21, Including United Nations and Quad Leaders Summit

Prime Minister Fumio Kishida is set to⁢ embark on his final​ overseas ⁢trip as prime minister, with a visit to the United States on September 21. This announcement was made by Chief Cabinet Secretary Yoshimasa Hayashi during a press ​conference on Friday. Kishida’s trip will conclude on ‌September 24 when he returns to Japan.

During‍ his ‌time in the United States, Kishida will be‌ attending the Summit of the Future, an event that is connected‍ to the General ⁤Assembly of the United Nations. ‍It was initially Kishida’s intention to deliver his​ address at the general debate of the General Assembly, which commences on September 24.
