Justin Theroux, ‘Beetlejuice Beetlejuice’ Actor, Claims AI Cannot Match Director’s Vision

“Beetlejuice” Revived by Tim Burton, AI Can’t Replicate Director’s Vision

Director Tim Burton brings back the beloved film franchise “Beetlejuice” with a unique vision that actor Justin Theroux believes cannot be replicated, not even by artificial intelligence (AI).

In an interview with Fox News Digital, Theroux shared his thoughts on the use of AI technology in Hollywood and its potential impact on filmmaking. He plays Rory in the sequel “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice,” joining Michael Keaton who reprises his role as the mischievous demon.

Theroux expressed confidence that Burton, renowned for his gothic horror and fantasy films, will remain unaffected by advancing technology or future directors. He stated, “I don’t think there’ll ever be a Tim Burton movie that could have been made by AI.”

However, Theroux acknowledged that AI may continue to play a role in Hollywood productions and scriptwriting assistance. Comparing it to a Tim Burton movie, he emphasized the difficulty of duplicating what comes out of the director’s imaginative mind.

These comments echo sentiments previously expressed by Burton himself regarding the use of AI to recreate his distinctive style. Last year, he criticized Disney for using AI to replicate his versions of their characters. According to him, this process felt like something being taken away from his soul or psyche.

Jenna Ortega, another new addition to the film’s cast as Wednesday Addams actress Jenna Ortega has also experienced negative effects from AI technology. She revealed her decision to delete her Twitter account due to inappropriate edited content featuring her as a child.

The upcoming film “Beetlejuice Beetlejuice” follows Lydia Deetz (played by Winona Ryder) from the original 1988 horror comedy as she navigates life after her teenage daughter discovers a mysterious portal to the afterlife. If you say Beetlejuice’s name three times… well, chaos ensues!

Set for release on September 6th nationwide in theaters across America.
