Lockdown at Moss Middle School lifted, WCSO confirms

Several units from the Warren⁣ County Sheriff’s Office responded to a potential ​threat⁢ at Moss Middle School in Bowling Green, Kentucky.‌ The school was ‍placed on lockdown as a⁤ precautionary measure. However, as⁣ of 10:45 ⁢a.m., the Warren​ County Sheriff’s Office has confirmed ⁤that the campus is ⁣now safe.

The lockdown was prompted by a‌ rumor of a student potentially carrying a⁤ weapon on campus. ​This information was‍ relayed to parents through an email from the Warren County Public Schools (WCPS). It is important to note that there was never ⁣an actual student with ‍a weapon on campus; ‌it ⁢was simply a call-in to law enforcement.

Authorities have located and are currently questioning the student who was under suspicion off-campus. The WCPS has taken⁣ swift‌ action ⁣in addressing this​ situation and ensuring‌ the safety of all students.

In addition, ⁤Jennings Creek Elementary School also implemented safety ​measures by initiating ⁤a brief ⁢”lock out” due to an incident occurring near their premises. However, they have‍ received confirmation that it is ‌now safe for students and‍ staff to resume ⁤normal‌ activities.
