Netflix has released the key art poster for the upcoming third season of Heartstopper, created by showrunner and graphic novel creator Alice Oseman. The poster features the two main characters, Nick and Charlie, with the tagline “Fall Hard, Love Harder.” The new season is set to premiere in less than a month.
In an interview with The Sunday Times, Joe Locke and Kit Connor, who play Charlie and Nick respectively, discussed their experiences filming intimate scenes for the show. Connor explained that they have been taking baby steps since season one when they were just comfortable holding hands. Now in season three, they have filmed sex scenes that lasted about seven hours. Despite the long hours on set, Connor described their off-screen dynamic as close-knit and supportive.
The third season of Heartstopper will consist of eight episodes titled “Love,” ”Home,” ”Talk,” “Journey,” “Winter,” “Body,” “Together,” and “Apart.” Each title hints at different aspects of Nick and Charlie’s evolving relationship throughout the school year.
The cast for this season includes Kit Connor as Nick, Joe Locke as Charlie, Yasmin Finney as Elle, William Gao as Tao, Corinna Brown as Tara, Kizzy Edgell as Darcy,Tobie Donovan as Isaac,Jenny Walser as Tori,Rhea Norwoodas Imogen,and Leila Khanas Sahar.Hayley Atwell joins the cast playing Nick’s aunt Diane,Eddie Marsan portrays Geoff,a therapist,and Jonathan Bailey guest starsas Jack Maddox,a classicist who is also Charlie’s celebrity crush.Darragh Hand has also joined portraying Michael Holden from graphic novel.
Heartstopper is based on Alice Oseman’s webcomic and graphic novel series of the same name. It is executive-produced by Oseman along with Patrick Walters,Iain Canning ,Emile Sherman,Euros Lyn,Hakan Kousetta,and Jamie Laurenson.The series is produced by See-Saw Films exclusively for Netflix.
