NTT Corp. is preparing to launch a new company that will utilize AI systems across various industries and operations, providing support for corporate digital transformation. The official launch of NTT AI-CIX (AI-Cross Industry Transformation) Inc. is scheduled for Monday, with a revenue target of approximately ¥10 billion by fiscal 2030.
The services offered by the new firm will include assisting companies in implementing AI technology and constructing a robust data infrastructure. NTT AI-CIX aims to leverage multiple AI systems that go beyond the boundaries of any single industry, as there has been an increasing demand for business- and industry-specific AI solutions.
One example of how this can be beneficial is through the establishment of an interconnected network of AI systems for manufacturers, wholesalers, and retailers. This network would enable manufacturers to adjust their production based on demand at stores, leading to improved efficiency throughout the supply chain while minimizing excess inventory.
During a press conference held on Friday, Ippei Shake, who will assume the role of NTT AI-CIX president, expressed their vision: “We aim to facilitate information exchange between multiple industries through their respective AI systems in order to achieve energy savings and reduce labor.”
With its focus on integrating artificial intelligence into various sectors, NTT Corp.’s new venture aims to drive innovation and contribute significantly towards corporate digital transformation efforts. The launch of NTT AI-CIX marks another step forward in harnessing the power of technology across industries for enhanced operational efficiency and productivity.
