‍ group Oasis has issued ⁤a warning to ‍its fans⁣ about the emergence of‌ fake tickets being sold online ahead ‌of the band’s upcoming reunion tour. The Grammy-nominated band took to ‍Instagram to ‌caution their followers, stating that thousands of fake Oasis tickets have already been discovered on StubHub and Vivid Seats before the North American tour has even gone on sale. The‍ National Independent Venue Association, a trade organization ⁣representing independent music venues and festivals, published a press release providing ⁣further details ‌regarding the⁢ fraudulent tickets. In this release, they highlighted evidence of ⁣at least 9,000 fake tickets already listed for sale ⁤for Oasis’ highly‍ anticipated U.S. shows. The association also called‌ for urgent intervention ‍against deceptive⁤ practices by predatory ticket brokers and resale platforms.

Oasis was founded in Manchester, England in 1991 by singer-songwriter Liam ⁢Gallagher ⁣and several friends. They gained fame with hit songs like “Wonderwall” and “Stop‍ Crying Your Heart Out.” However, in 2009, just‌ minutes before they were set to perform‌ at a festival in France, the band announced their breakup due to tensions between Liam Gallagher and ⁤his older brother Noel Gallagher.

On August 27th, 2024—the day before the 15th anniversary‌ of their⁣ breakup—the Gallaghers announced on social media that Oasis would be reuniting ‌for a tour next year called Oasis⁣ Live ⁣’25 Tour. The tour ⁣is scheduled ⁤to kick‌ off in July with concerts throughout ‌the UK and Ireland.

Recently, Oasis expanded their tour to include shows in North America as well. However, there have ⁤been controversies surrounding ticket sales including dynamic pricing‍ practices ‍where prices fluctuate based‍ on market demand. ‍Fans in the UK saw standard ticket prices more than double due to high demand but were⁢ assured that this would not be an issue for North American tour tickets.
