Sharp Reveals Tokyo’s First EV Prototype: Spacious Living and Working Area with 65-inch Display

Sharp Corp. has revealed its first electric vehicle prototype, the “LDK+” ‍model, which​ features a spacious interior resembling a living room and a large LCD display.⁣ The company plans to make this vehicle commercially available in⁤ the coming⁣ years. This move by ​Sharp​ comes as Sony ⁣Group and Honda are also collaborating on an electric vehicle project, indicating ‍that competition in this sector is set to intensify.

The LDK+ is being showcased for the first time and was developed by Sharp using a chassis provided by its parent company, Hon Hai Precision Industry Co. One‍ of the standout features of ⁢this prototype is a ‍65-inch display ‍installed at the rear of the vehicle, which can be used as either ​a workspace or even ⁢transformed into a theater room.​ Additionally,‍ an AI system within the vehicle learns ⁣how users utilize home appliances and ⁣automatically adjusts factors such as​ air conditioning and lighting to ⁤create an optimal interior environment.

For ⁣those interested‌ in seeing this‍ innovative prototype firsthand, it will be‌ on public display until Wednesday at Tokyo International Forum’s “Sharp Tech Day” ​exhibition located in Chiyoda ⁤Ward.
