‘State Organs’ Film Exposes Forced Organ Harvesting in China

Dozens‌ of people gathered at Lewes Public Library in Lewes, Delaware,‍ on October‌ 3 for ⁤the screening of “State‌ Organs,” ⁣a documentary that exposes ​forced organ harvesting in‌ China. The event was co-sponsored​ by advocacy groups including‍ Doctors Against Forced⁤ Organ⁢ Harvesting (DAFOH) and Delaware Medical Freedom Alliance (DMFA). ⁤The screening ⁢was followed by a‌ panel discussion with experts and Cheng Peiming, the first known survivor of ​forced organ harvesting.

The 76-minute documentary, produced⁢ by Raymond Zhang‍ and scored ⁢by Daryl ‍Bennett, tells ⁤the story of two families searching for their missing loved ones in‌ China. It reveals evidence of state-sanctioned ​forced organ harvesting. Audience members were visibly moved and expressed shock and ​anger at the chilling reality depicted ‍in the film.

Cheng Peiming’s harrowing ⁢escape⁣ from China after being subjected to organ harvesting captivated the‍ audience. Imprisoned for his belief ‌in Falun Gong, Cheng described ⁣his ordeal in graphic detail, recounting the excruciating pain​ he endured during the removal of parts of his liver and lung.

Victor Carlstrom, a heart transplant ​recipient​ from Lewes, expressed astonishment at how quickly ​people can get transplants in China compared to waiting times in other countries.​ He called it an “atrocity” that ⁤targets ‍individuals based on their beliefs ⁢rather than just condemned prisoners.
