The annual Tokyo Game Show has commenced in Chiba, east of Tokyo, with a record-breaking number of exhibitors presenting new video game consoles and titles. Sony Interactive Entertainment Inc. is unveiling the world’s first PS5 Pro, an upgraded version of its PlayStation 5 console that offers higher-resolution images. Square Enix Co. has set up a booth where attendees can experience a remake edition of its popular title Dragon Quest 3. Additionally, Capcom Co. is showcasing the latest installment in its Monster Hunter series.
The event will be open to industry professionals on Thursday and Friday, while the general public can attend over the weekend at the Makuhari Messe convention center. Organizers are anticipating approximately 250,000 visitors throughout the duration of the show.
