Manchester United, Liverpool, and Arsenal are reportedly interested in signing Eintracht Frankfurt forward Omar Marmoush. The Egyptian international has had an impressive start to the season, scoring six goals in five Bundesliga games and seven goals in eight games across all competitions. Sources close to the player have revealed that Liverpool and Arsenal have been monitoring Marmoush for some time, while Manchester United, West Ham, and Nottingham Forest are also keeping an eye on him. It is believed that both United and West Ham could intensify their interest in the 25-year-old ahead of the January transfer window. Eintracht Frankfurt is open to evaluating offers for Marmoush if they reach around €30 million.
Marmoush’s potential move to English football will be intriguing as he continues his career. However, Manchester United’s interest may raise concerns for their current forwards Rasmus Hojlund and Joshua Zirkzee, who have struggled to meet expectations since joining the club.
In terms of other news, there are reports suggesting that Marmoush could potentially replace Hojlund and Zirkzee at Manchester United due to concerns about their performances under Erik ten Hag.
It remains uncertain whether Arsenal and Liverpool truly require additional attacking players. Nevertheless, Marmoush could provide valuable depth for both clubs. While Arsenal currently has Kai Havertz, Leandro Trossard, and Bukayo Saka performing well upfront, there may not be sufficient backup options behind them with Gabriel Jesus and Raheem Sterling not considered ideal long-term choices.
Liverpool might also benefit from considering a replacement for inconsistent forward Darwin Nunez while taking into account Mohamed Salah’s contract situation as he enters his final year with the club.
