Truck Incident Causes Power Outage in Brooklyn

A major power outage occurred in parts of southeastern Brooklyn on Thursday morning. At its peak, nearly 10,000⁢ customers were affected by the outage. According to Con Edison, ⁢the power failure was caused by a ⁣dumpster truck colliding with a pole ‌and bringing down the wires in an industrial area near Glenwood Road and Troy Avenue. The outage began around 7:45 a.m. but service was restored to all customers by 11 a.m. The Flatbush and East Flatbush neighborhoods were particularly ⁢impacted by the outage. Limited information has been released regarding this incident.
