Typhoon Pulasan, also known as typhoon No. 14, has been formed after a tropical depression occurred in the Mariana Islands, according to the Japan Meteorological Agency. The typhoon is currently moving northwest and is expected to approach Japan’s Nansei Islands between Wednesday and Thursday. This could result in heavy rainfall across Japan.
As of 9:00 am on Tuesday, Typhoon Pulasan was moving at a speed of 20 kilometers per hour towards the northwest. It had a central pressure of 996 hectopascals and a maximum instantaneous wind speed of 30 meters per second.
