Anthony Rizzo, DJ LeMahieu, and Jake Cousins of the⁢ Yankees have been dealing with injuries. Rizzo suffered fractures to his fourth and fifth fingers on ​his right hand after being hit⁤ by a pitch ⁣during Saturday’s game against the Pirates. Manager Aaron Boone believes Rizzo could still play ‌in the postseason.

LeMahieu has been dealing ⁤with a right⁢ hip impingement⁣ but hopes to be involved in baseball activities soon and​ be available for the‌ American League Division Series starting on October 5th.

Cousins, who has ​a right pectoral strain, played catch for the first time since being placed on the injured list. He⁣ is‌ making progress towards returning to action.

Yordan Alvarez ‍of the Astros has a ⁣sprained right knee ⁢but will ‌resume baseball activities soon. He‌ remains an option for their Wild ‌Card Series roster.

Chas McCormick also suffered an injury to his right hand⁢ (fracture) ​but will take live batting practice and could potentially be included in the Astros’ AL Wild Card Series roster.

Spencer Turnbull of the Phillies ⁢has been dealing with a right lat⁣ strain ⁣but threw a live batting practice session recently. The team hasn’t ruled out his return‍ during the ⁢postseason.

Freddie Freeman of the Dodgers exited‍ Thursday’s game with an ⁣ankle injury but X-rays came back negative. The team is optimistic that he will be ready for their NL Division Series opener next Saturday.

Miguel Rojas aggravated ​a groin injury ⁢during Wednesday’s game and will be⁤ sidelined for at least a few games. His status ⁣remains uncertain moving forward.

Jeff McNeil of Mets fractured his right wrist and is⁤ awaiting ⁢follow-up X-rays before determining when he can resume baseball activities.

Kodai Senga⁢ also suffered ⁤an injury (high-grade left calf strain) and is scheduled to throw live batting practice before September ends, which will determine his next steps towards recovery.

Vinnie Pasquantino of ‌Royals participated in ⁣team batting practice ‍after suffering from a thumb fracture. His return timeline remains ⁢uncertain, although manager Matt Quatraro mentioned that Pasquantino is progressing well ahead of schedule.

Sewald had neck discomfort but recently threw bullpen sessions and faced hitters in live batting practice sessions.​ If D-backs make it to postseason, Sewald could potentially ‍return to action ‌then.
Frelick ‍sustained ​significant bone bruise in his left hip which puts him out indefinitely; however, initial tests did not reveal any other structural‌ damage so there’s possibility he may return ​if Brewers make deep postseason run.
