Country Singer Carly Pearce Reveals Heart Condition Diagnosis

Carly Pearce, the country music singer, recently informed her fans about her health status where she revealed that she has been diagnosed with pericarditis, which is a heart condition arising from swelling of the sac surrounding the heart. Through a social media video, Carly informed her followers that she is working with doctors and her cardiologist, and is determined to be on the road despite the condition. However, to ensure her well-being, the singer announced that she will have to alter her shows a little bit. Carly Pearce is a Grammy award-winning singer and songwriter who will be performing throughout the summer and into the new year, including at the CMA Fest in June, alongside other country stars like Luke Bryan, Hardy, Lainey Wilson, and Jelly Roll. Carly Pearce is currently touring the United States with Tim McGraw on his Standing Room Only Tour and will celebrate the release of her fourth studio album, titled “Hummingbird,” with a performance at the historic Grand Ole Opry in Nashville, Tennessee in June. The Hummingbird Tour will begin in Europe from February 2022. Meanwhile, Marcus Stanley, a musician who survived being shot eight times in 2004, also commented on Carly’s post, encouraging her to “keep fighting.” Pericarditis is a heart problem that occurs due to inflammation of the pericardium, sac-like tissue that encases the heart. While the symptoms vary, chest pain is the most common indication of the disorder. Other symptoms include heart palpitations, coughing, fatigue, fever, shortness of breath, and swelling of the abdomen. Viral pericarditis is the most common type, which is caused by viral infections like the common cold or flu. Bacterial pericarditis is the other form of pericarditis, which often affects people who have undergone surgery or have pneumonia. Chronic effusive pericarditis and constrictive pericarditis are rare types of pericarditis. The former is a condition caused by fluid build-up between the two layers of the pericardium, while the latter occurs when the sac surrounding the heart develops scar tissue, due to chest trauma, immune system conditions, and other health issues.
