The Campaign Against President Trump’s 2024 Run: Desperate Moves from the Left

These individuals have pulled out all the stops to hinder the man they dread the most, and are now resorting to drastic measures.
The shaky legal argument being utilized by the opposition revolves around the 14th Amendment, section 3. This section states that no individual who has previously taken an oath to support the Constitution of the United States and has engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or aided the enemies thereof, shall hold office.
The critics of President Trump are well aware that this claim against him lacks substance. Even the Colorado Supreme Court is cognizant of the fact that their decision will likely be swiftly overturned by the United States Supreme Court, as they have put their own ruling on hold pending an appeal.
The 14th Amendment was ratified in 1868, following the American Civil War, with the aim of preventing individuals who had fought against the Union from holding office.
Donald Trump has not been convicted of any charges related to insurrection. During the January 6th events, he urged protestors to “peacefully and patriotically make your voices heard.” If giving such a directive is deemed as grounds for disqualification from office under the 14th Amendment, then the likes of Biden and other entrenched politicians should also face disqualification for their actions.
The efforts to exclude Trump from the ballot represent a dangerous escalation from the left and pose a threat to the foundations of our great republic. These attempts are not just a legal issue, but also a political one, and they signal a concerning trend of weaponizing the law for political gain.
It is imperative that the rule of law prevail, and that these underhanded maneuvers be recognized for what they are.
