Vivek Ramaswamy Claims Hunter Biden Indictment is a Scheme by the ‘Deep State’ to Damage Trump

The new indictment against Hunter Biden, President Joe Biden’s son, is believed by Republican presidential hopeful Vivek Ramaswamy to be part of a “deep state” conspiracy with several aims. This could include harming former President Donald Trump’s chances in the 2024 election.

A California grand jury recently charged Hunter Biden with three felony tax offenses and six misdemeanor tax offenses, totaling nine charges in all. The indictment alleges that Hunter Biden spent millions on a lavish lifestyle and drugs, instead of paying roughly $1.4 million in taxes.

Hunter Biden’s Attorney, Abbe Lowell, has dismissed the accusations as politically motivated, while Hunter Biden himself has claimed that his legal issues are being exploited by his father’s political opponents in order to tarnish his presidency.

Vivek Ramaswamy, who is vying for the 2024 Republican presidential nomination, has expressed a different viewpoint. He believes that the indictment serves Democrats by providing a convenient excuse to replace President Biden as their nominee in 2024 and offering cover for various prosecutions of President Trump.

Ramaswamy suggested that the timing of the Hunter Biden tax indictment signals the deep state’s intention to sideline President Biden and select a new candidate while using the indictment as a pretext to claim that Trump’s prosecutions are not politically motivated. This maneuver, in Ramaswamy’s view, “kills two birds with one stone.”

At the same time, President Biden’s approval ratings have dropped to a record low according to a new poll from the Wall Street Journal. There has also been speculation that Democrats may be considering a different candidate than President Biden in the 2024 presidential election, given his age and questions about his capability for the job.

These speculations are supported by a CNN poll from September, which revealed that around two-thirds of Democrat-leaning voters feel that the Democrat Party should not nominate President Biden for a second term and should find a more suitable candidate to run for the nation’s top job.

Furthermore, this poll also showed that Democrat-leaning voters are unsure about who could replace President Biden on the 2024 ticket, with none of the nine possible named candidates receiving more than 3 percent support.

President Biden has himself expressed doubt about running for a second term, implying that his main reason for planning to run is to defeat President Trump. He made this statement at a recent fundraising event in Boston.

This situation comes amidst ongoing legal issues for President Trump, who is facing 91 felony counts in four criminal cases across various states. He has pleaded not guilty and claims that the charges are part of a plot to derail his chances of winning the 2024 election.

Republicans have accused President Biden of “weaponizing” the Justice Department to attack his chief political rival, while the President has denied pressuring prosecutors to charge President Trump with crimes. Despite this, the investigations and legal troubles surrounding both Biden and Trump continue to shape the political landscape in the United States.
