Despite the excruciating pain she endured, Anna put on a brave front in the presence of her loved ones, showing very little emotion, but expressed her true emotions when it was just the two of them.
Tragically, Anna “Chickadee” Cardwell passed away on Dec. 9 after a courageous battle with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma at the young age of 29. Her mother, “Mama June” Shannon, shared the heartbreaking news, expressing that Anna passed away peacefully at her home at 11:12 p.m.
It was revealed by ET that Anna had married Eldridge Toney before her untimely passing. According to the marriage license obtained by ET, the couple got married on March 4 in Wilkinson County, Georgia, with Anna’s brother-in-law, Josh Efird, officiating the ceremony. Prior to her relationship with Toney, Anna was married to Michael Cardwell, with whom she shares two daughters.
Following her death, Eldridge Toney made a vow to his late wife to take care of their daughters, Kaitlyn Elizabeth and Kylee Madison, as his own. He described Anna as his true love and promised to never stop loving her.
Alana “Honey Boo Boo” Thompson, Anna’s sister, took to social media to mourn her sister’s passing, describing Anna’s final moments surrounded by her family, expressing her heartache and sharing details of the family’s upcoming days.
