The respected star of Sister Wives, Meri Brown, has indeed been sticking things out amidst a challenging time. Fans were, naturally, keen to see how long she could take it – and it turns out, it was longer than most wanted until the Mama of the wildly popular TV show simply decided enough was enough.
It really is no secret that the beloved veteran of the Sister Wives series gave Kody Brown and her plural marriage more chances than necessary, until Kody left her with little option.
The fateful day arrived last January, with Meri and Kody finally revealed their decision to end their marriage. On the upcoming installment of Sister Wives one-on-one special, airing this latest Sunday, Meri will candidly discuss her status with her ex-husband and former co-spouses from the sisterhood.
“I feel like my relationship with Robyn, like that’s something that she and I are working on and trying to figure out and navigate because it is different,” Meri shares with host Sukanya Krishnan in a preview that was released by TODAY.com.” Further, Meri also conveys that she isn’t “100% emotionally there” in terms of the relationship status she shares with Kody’s only remaining wife.
In the same teaser, Meri emphasizes that she is indeed a single woman, and being spiritually separated from the other sister wives – Robyn, Janelle, and Christine, has caused the dynamic to evolve substantially.
The dynamic and deep friendship that Meri shares with her BFF, Jenn, is also evident as we foresee a great deal of her time being spent in Utah with Jenn. “I know she doesn’t go out talking trash about me,” she says, taking an apparent jab at her former sister wives.
Meanwhile, it is no longer “sister wives” for Meri, clearly, as she has distanced herself from this definition. “They don’t have my back,” Meri tells Krishnan, leaving no room for doubt that the relationships with Janelle, Christine, and Robyn are all but fractured. “Oh, by the way, I don’t have sister wives, just FYI.”
